Vanne de drainage Gardena 2760-20

The Drain Valve Gardena 2760-20 is a frost-proof drainage component for underground irrigation systems. It automatically drains residual water when system pressure falls below approximately 0.2 bar, helping to prevent freeze damage to pipes and components. The valve is intended for installation at the lowest point of the irrigation network and is designed for durable, trouble-free operation in garden watering setups.

Advantages

The Gardena 2760-20 drain valve provides automatic drainage without electrical controls, activates at low system pressure (approx. 0.2 bar), and is built for outdoor irrigation use. Its construction ensures reliable protection against frost-related damage and supports straightforward integration into existing sprinkler systems when installed at the system's lowest point.

Suitable for

• Underground garden sprinkler systems
• Automatic and manual irrigation mains that require seasonal winter drainage
• Home gardens, lawns, and small agricultural plots using buried piping

How to use

Install the drain valve at the lowest point of the buried irrigation system in a stable position, preferably in a pit filled with washed coarse gravel to ensure safe drainage and prevent clogging. Connect it to the pipeline according to the system layout and local fitting standards. After installation, the valve will remain closed during normal pressurised operation and open automatically when system pressure drops to allow draining. Follow local plumbing practices for connection and sealing to ensure leak-free operation.

Recommendations

For reliable winter protection, place the Drain Valve Gardena 2760-20 at the system's lowest point and surround it with washed coarse gravel to facilitate complete drainage. Check the valve before the first freeze and after re-commissioning the irrigation system each season.
