Bloc de ponçage Bosch 2 607 000 637

The Bosch 2 607 000 637 sanding block is a compact, cork-based tool for hand sanding tasks. With a wood-colored finish and a comfortable rectangular shape measuring 120 mm by 80 mm, it provides an even surface for attaching abrasive paper and smoothing a variety of materials. Sold as a single piece, this sanding block is suitable for manual finishing where control and tactile feedback are important.

Advantages

The cork construction offers firm support while adapting slightly to contours, reducing the risk of uneven sanding. Its medium size provides a balance between reach and control, allowing work on both flat surfaces and modestly curved profiles. The wood-colored exterior is durable and easy to clean, and the block is lightweight for extended hand use without causing rapid fatigue.

Suitable for

• Sanding and finishing wood surfaces by hand
• Smoothing filler, putty, or primer coats before painting
• Refining edges and contours on furniture or carpentry projects
• Light surface preparation of metal or plastic parts

Key specifications

• Material: cork core with wood-colored outer finish
• Shape: rectangular block
• Length/Width/Depth: 120 mm × 80 mm (depth dimension suited for hand gripping)
• Weight: lightweight, suitable for manual sanding
• Pack contents: single sanding block

How to use

Select an appropriate grade of abrasive paper for the task and wrap or attach it securely around the sanding block so it sits flat against the working surface. Hold the block with a comfortable grip and apply even pressure while sanding along the grain for wood or in consistent strokes for other materials. Replace the abrasive paper when worn to maintain consistent sanding performance. Clean the block by brushing off dust after use to preserve the cork surface.

Recommendations

Use progressively finer abrasive grades to achieve a smooth finish; start with a coarser grit for material removal and finish with a fine grit for final smoothing. Avoid excessive pressure which can compress the cork and create uneven results. Store the sanding block in a dry place to prevent moisture-related degradation of the cork material.
