Câble plat DeLOCK 83445

This Delock slot bracket adapts internal ribbon cable pin headers to external Sub-D serial and parallel connector types and fits into a standard PC expansion slot. It enables bringing out serial (COM) and parallel (LPT) ports from an internal header to accessible Sub-D connectors on the rear of a computer chassis.

Advantages

The bracket provides a simple, space-saving solution to convert internal ribbon cable connections into external Sub-D connectors without modifying the motherboard. It is compatible with standard PC slot dimensions and supports reliable, low-profile mounting for serial and parallel interfaces.

Suitable for

• Extending internal serial (COM) headers to external Sub-D ports
• Extending internal parallel (LPT) headers to external Sub-D ports
• Retrofit or repair of older systems that require external serial/parallel connectors

Secure the bracket in the slot so the Sub-D connectors are accessible from the outside of the case. Reassemble the chassis and power on the system to verify the external COM or LPT ports function properly.

Recommendations

Use the bracket only with compatible internal headers and ribbon cables of matching pin count. Verify pinout and orientation before powering the system to avoid damage. For stable connections, fasten the bracket securely and route the ribbon cable to avoid sharp bends or interference.
