Connecteur coaxial IEC ShiverPeaks BS82012

The ShiverPeaks BS82012 is an IEC coaxial male connector designed for reliable audio and video signal connections. Supplied as a single unit, this compact connector provides a secure mechanical and electrical interface for equipment that uses the standard IEC coaxial format. Its construction focuses on consistent contact geometry to maintain signal integrity across consumer and professional AV setups.

Advantages

The connector offers a compact form factor that simplifies installation in tight spaces while maintaining a firm coupling to mating sockets. Its construction supports consistent impedance continuity to reduce signal loss and reflections. As a single-piece supply, it enables straightforward replacement or integration into existing cabling without additional adapters. The male IEC design ensures compatibility with commonly used IEC coaxial sockets.

Suitable for

• Connecting terrestrial TV antennas to receivers and set-top boxes
• Linking cable TV lines and wall outlets to consumer tuners
• Replacing a damaged IEC male plug on RF coaxial cables
• AV installations requiring a compact, standard-compliant coaxial interface

Key specifications

• Connector type: IEC coaxial male
• Quantity: single unit
• Form factor: compact inline male plug
• Intended use: RF signal transmission for audio/video applications
• Contact design: standard IEC geometry for consistent mating

How to use

Strip the coaxial cable to expose the inner conductor and the shield according to the connector manufacturer's recommended dimensions. Insert the prepared cable into the connector body so the inner conductor seats in the central contact and the shield makes reliable contact with the outer sleeve. Secure the connector using the appropriate crimping, soldering or screw method specified for the connector model. After assembly, verify mechanical stability and test the signal path by connecting to a receiver or signal source.

Recommendations

Use appropriate cable-preparation tools and follow safe assembly practices to ensure optimal electrical contact and to avoid damage to the connector. Test the connection with the target device after installation and replace the connector if signs of corrosion, loose contacts, or degraded signal quality appear.
