Contrôleur de passerelle HPE 9012

The Aruba 9000 Series Gateways, represented here by the Gateway Controller HPE 9012 (MPN R1B32A), are branch-focused network appliances for SD-WAN and security that also support cellular connectivity and cluster deployment for high availability. Managed through Aruba Central, a cloud-based network operations, assurance and security platform, the 9000 Series offers simplified provisioning with an optional mobile installer app and is designed to support high-density branch environments with significantly greater client capacity and throughput compared with typical SD-WAN appliances.

Advantages

The HPE 9012 delivers enterprise-grade connectivity with support for 100 and 1000 Mbit/s Ethernet LAN rates, rack-mount capability and visible LED indicators for LAN, Status and WAN. It offers strong security with IPSec and SSL/TLS algorithms, includes micro USB and RJ-45 console ports for management, and supports clustering for resiliency. The platform is optimized for SD-WAN performance—up to 6 Gbps of throughput—and scalable client density and cloud-based device handling.

Suitable for

• Branch offices requiring SD-WAN and integrated security
• Locations needing rack-mounted enterprise gateway controllers
• Environments that demand high client density and higher throughput
• Deployments that benefit from cloud management via Aruba Central

How to use

Install the HPE 9012 in a standard equipment rack using the rack-mount provisions. Connect required Ethernet links to the RJ-45 LAN ports and provision WAN and optional cellular uplinks as needed. Use the micro USB or RJ-45 console port for initial configuration, or register and configure the device through Aruba Central for cloud-based management. For SD-WAN deployment, follow the Aruba Central workflow or use the mobile installer app to simplify on-site provisioning and cluster multiple gateways for high availability.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, deploy the gateway in a climate-controlled rack space and ensure firmware and Aruba Central policies are kept up to date. When targeting high client densities or maximum throughput, validate network cabling, upstream bandwidth, and cluster configuration to achieve expected SD-WAN performance.
