Enceinte active dBTechnologies KL 12, 1200W

The dBTechnologies KL 12 is an active speaker with a 12" driver and 1200W peak power designed for live sound reinforcement. It integrates DSP-based processing to manage crossover, EQ and limiter functions, delivering balanced output and consistent performance across venues. The cabinet and mounting options support floor monitoring, pole mounting and fixed installation, while front-firing design and robust construction make it suitable for touring and repeated use.

Advantages

Integrated DSP ensures precise control over frequency response, limiting and driver protection to maintain reliable sound at high levels. The 12" low-mid driver combined with a dedicated high-frequency compression driver yields clear vocals and full-range music reproduction. Lightweight enclosure design with multiple rigging and mounting points improves handling and installation flexibility for event technicians and audio professionals.

Suitable for

• Live music performance and band monitoring
• DJ booths and club sound reinforcement
• Public speaking, conferences and corporate events
• Portable PA for small-to-medium venues and rehearsals

Key specifications

• Driver configuration: 12" low-mid driver plus high-frequency compression driver
• Peak power: 1200W
• Active speaker with built-in amplifier and DSP processing
• Frequency response suitable for full-range applications
• Cabinet: rugged construction with mounting and rigging points; portable enclosure
• Connectivity: versatile inputs and outputs for mixing consoles and playback devices

How to use

Place the speaker on a stable surface, a pole mount or use appropriate rigging hardware for suspended installations. Connect source devices or mixer outputs using the available input connectors, adjust level and DSP presets according to room size and application, then increase gain gradually while monitoring for distortion. Use speaker placement and tilt to optimize coverage and reduce feedback during vocal use.

Recommendations

For best results, select DSP presets that match the application (speech, music, monitor) and perform a quick soundcheck at the intended listening positions. Avoid prolonged operation at maximum output to preserve driver life and observe safe handling during transport and rigging.
