The KWB 512006 Drill Bit Single is a 6 mm HSS-M2 bit with a 1/4" (E 6.3) hexagon shank designed for accurate pre-drilling in hardwoods such as Bangkirai, as well as softwoods. How to use

Position the bit on the marked drilling point and drill at a steady speed suitable for the wood species. The ball-bearing stop will engage when the counterbore reaches the surface to prevent rotation and marking.

Recommendations

Use light to moderate feed pressure and appropriate drilling speed for hardwoods to avoid overheating. Check the depth stop setting on a scrap piece of the same wood before final holes. Store the bit dry and protect the cutting edges to maintain performance.
