Foret Bosch Breakthrough SDS Max-9 Break Through

The Bosch Breakthrough SDS Max-9 Break Through drill bit is designed for use with rotary hammers for drilling large, deep holes in concrete and masonry. It features a long tapered shank and a single-piece construction for increased durability, with a 1000 mm length and a 65 mm diameter to meet heavy-duty drilling requirements.

Advantages

The long tapered shank enables breakthrough drilling while maintaining stability. A 2-flute U-shaped design improves dust removal from the hole, supporting consistent drilling performance. Single-piece construction increases strength and reduces the risk of damage under heavy loads when the tool is used with an appropriate rotary hammer.

Suitable for

• Drilling large-diameter holes in concrete
• Deep anchoring and installation of heavy fixtures
• Construction and renovation tasks requiring long reach
• Use with SDS max compatible rotary hammers

How to use

Fit the SDS Max-9 Break Through bit into a compatible rotary hammer according to the tool manufacturer's instructions. Use a hammer drill with suitable capacity for large breakthrough bits to avoid overloading the tool. Position the bit on the marked drilling point, start at low speed to establish the hole, then apply steady pressure and operate at the recommended hammering setting until the required depth is reached. Withdraw the bit periodically to clear dust and prevent jamming.

Recommendations

Always use the drill bit with a rotary hammer that matches the bit size and purpose; follow the rotary hammer's operating instructions and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Ensure the hammer drill has sufficient capacity for breakthrough drilling to prevent overload and premature wear.
