Global Caché GC-IRE Convertisseur IR

The Global Caché GC-IRE is a single IR emitter cable engineered for precise infrared control of A/V equipment. Its adhesive-backed emitter head attaches directly to the IR sensor window of a TV, Blu-ray player, set-top box, or other IR-controlled device, ensuring reliable command delivery even in cabinets or behind closed doors. The 6-foot cable with a 3.5 mm mono jack plugs directly into any Global Caché controller with an IR output port, such as the IP2IR, GC-100 series, or iTach family, providing a simple, passive solution for extending IR coverage.

Advantages

The GC-IRE eliminates line-of-sight limitations by placing the emitter exactly where it is needed. Its compact head (12.7 x 6.35 x 6.35 mm) fits discreetly on narrow sensor windows, while the strong adhesive backing ensures a secure, long-lasting bond. The passive design draws no additional power, reducing installation complexity and potential points of failure. With a durable PVC jacket and a standard mono connector, this emitter is both robust and universally compatible with Global Caché automation systems.

Suitable for

• Integrating IR-controlled devices into a Global Caché-based home automation or commercial AV setup
• Controlling equipment hidden in cabinets, closets, or equipment racks where direct IR remote signals cannot reach
• Expanding the IR output capabilities of IP2IR, GC-100, and iTach controllers
• Professional installers and DIY enthusiasts seeking a reliable, low-cost IR extension solution

Recommendations

For best results, clean the device's IR sensor window with isopropyl alcohol before attaching the emitter head. Avoid placing the emitter near strong light sources or plasma displays, as they can interfere with IR signals. When using multiple emitters, ensure each is connected to a separate IR output port on the controller to prevent signal crosstalk.
