Hub USB Helos 344447 Type-C 5000 Mbit/s gris

The Helos 344447 Type-C USB hub provides additional USB connectivity for laptops, desktops and other Type-C–equipped hosts. Constructed in grey aluminium, the compact hub offers four ports and supports host connections via USB 3.2 Gen 2 (Type‑C) with a maximum data transfer rate of 5000 Mbit/s. It is compatible with a range of operating systems including Windows and Mac and combines USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 interfaces to connect high-speed peripherals as well as legacy devices.

Advantages

The aluminium housing improves thermal dissipation and adds durability while keeping the hub lightweight and portable. A USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type‑C host interface enables high-speed transfers up to 5000 Mbit/s for compatible devices, while integrated USB 3.0 ports maintain backward compatibility with older high-speed peripherals. Four available ports allow simultaneous connections of storage devices, input devices and other accessories. The grey finish provides a neutral aesthetic that suits modern workstations and mobile setups.

Suitable for

• Expanding USB connectivity on ultraportable laptops with a single Type‑C port
• Connecting external SSDs, flash drives and HDDs for data transfer and backup
• Attaching keyboards, mice and other USB peripherals in office and home environments
• Using older USB devices that require USB 2.0 alongside newer USB 3.0 accessories

Key specifications

• Host interface: USB 3.2 Gen 2 (Type‑C)
• Maximum data transfer rate: 5000 Mbit/s
• Ports quantity: 4
• Hub interfaces: USB 3.0 and USB 2.0
• Material and finish: aluminium, grey
• Compatibility: supports common desktop and laptop operating systems including Windows and Mac

How to use

Connect the hub to a host device using the Type‑C host connector. Once connected, the host typically recognises the hub automatically and configures the available USB ports for immediate use. Attach USB 3.0 devices to the high‑speed ports for optimal transfer rates and connect USB 2.0 peripherals where speed is not critical. For best performance with external storage, ensure the host port supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 speeds and use appropriate cables and devices that support the same transfer specifications.

Recommendations

Place the hub on a flat, ventilated surface during extended transfers to allow heat dissipation through the aluminium casing. Avoid overloading a single host port with high-power peripherals; use externally powered hubs or powered devices if multiple high-draw accessories are required. Keep device drivers and operating system updates current to ensure compatibility and stable performance.
