Route monitor outputs to studio monitors and use the headphone output for private monitoring. Use the direct monitoring feature to reduce latency when recording and create appropriate monitor mixes with the interface's mix controls.

Recommendations

For best results, use balanced cables for monitor outputs and high-quality XLR cables for microphones. Keep input gain moderate and check levels in your recording software to maintain headroom. When using multiple sources, label inputs in your DAW and set appropriate sample rates and buffer sizes to balance latency and system stability.
