Jeu de douilles Bahco 1/4 inch S290

The Bahco 1/4" Socket Set S290 delivers a compact collection of metric sockets with a 1/4" drive intended for precision tasks and confined working spaces. Packaged in a small case sized approximately 160 mm x 280 mm x 70 mm, the set groups multiple socket sizes in a format designed for organized storage and straightforward transport. Each socket is manufactured to meet practical durability requirements for both professional workshops and home maintenance.

Advantages

The set combines a 1/4" drive format with metric socket sizes to provide versatility across a range of fasteners. Components are made from high-grade materials for wear resistance and consistent fit, reducing rounding of fastener heads. The compact case preserves order and portability while protecting sockets from loss and damage. The low profile of the drive and sockets enables access in tight or recessed areas where larger drives cannot reach.

Suitable for

• Automotive trim and interior fasteners
• Electronics and appliance assembly or repair
• Light mechanical maintenance and adjustments
• Hobbyist and DIY projects requiring metric sockets
• Field service tasks where a compact socket set is needed

Key specifications

• Drive size: 1/4" (6.35 mm)
• Socket system: metric sizes (set includes multiple common metric sockets)
• Case dimensions: approximately 160 mm x 280 mm x 70 mm
• Construction material: high-strength tool steel (heat-treated)
• Finish: corrosion-resistant surface treatment
• Design: low-profile sockets for confined-space access

How to use

Select the socket that matches the fastener size, place it onto the 1/4" drive ratchet or handle, and fit the socket squarely onto the nut or bolt head. Apply steady torque while maintaining alignment to avoid rounding. For loosening, turn counterclockwise; for tightening, turn clockwise and use torque control if precise tightening value is required. After use, return sockets to their designated slots in the case to maintain organization and protect the finish.

Recommendations

Use hand tools within their rated torque limits and avoid impact tools on sockets not specified for such use. Keep sockets clean and lightly lubricated at contact points to prevent corrosion. Store the set in its case in a dry environment and periodically inspect for wear or damage before critical applications.
