Lecteur de codes-barres portable Qoltec 50860

The Qoltec 50860 handheld barcode reader is a wired 1D laser scanner designed for continuous use. It connects via a 1.8 m USB cable and operates from a 5 V power source. The scanner is constructed from ABS and PVC, weighs 131 g and is designed to withstand falls from up to 1.5 m. It decodes 1D barcodes, including upside-down codes, and confirms successful reads with an audible tone. Plug&Play connectivity makes the device ready to use without additional software installation, and it is compatible with Linux, Android, Windows XP/7/8/10 and macOS.

Advantages

The Qoltec 50860 offers fast scanning performance at up to 200 scans per second, a durable yet lightweight housing, and reliable USB wired connectivity. Its laser sensor ensures accurate 1D code recognition across typical retail and inventory environments, while fall resistance and a compact weight make it practical for frequent handheld use. Audible confirmation of successful reads and broad OS compatibility simplify integration into existing workflows.

How to use

Connect the Qoltec 50860 to a computer or compatible terminal using the supplied 1.8 m USB cable. The device uses Plug&Play, so the host system should recognise it automatically without installing additional drivers. Position the scanner so the laser beam intersects the 1D barcode and pull the trigger or activate scanning according to the host device settings. A short audible tone indicates a successful read; the decoded data will be sent to the connected system as keyboard input or via the configured interface.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term operation, avoid exposing the scanner to liquids and extreme temperatures. If used in high-traffic environments, handle the device carefully to minimise impact damage despite its 1.5 m drop resistance. Ensure the USB connection is secure and use a compatible host system (Linux, Android, Windows XP/7/8/10, macOS) for best interoperability.
