Mount the receiver on the camera’s hot shoe or connect it to a smartphone or recorder using the appropriate cable or adapter. Power on both units, confirm a stable wireless link and adjust gain or level settings on the receiver or camera as needed to avoid clipping while maintaining clear voice presence. Monitor audio with headphones when possible to verify signal quality and make on-the-fly adjustments.

Recommendations

To achieve the best vocal clarity, place the lavalier capsule 15–25 cm from the speaker’s mouth, avoid covering the microphone with fabric, and check battery levels before each session. When recording outdoors or in noisy environments, use close placement and monitor levels to reduce background noise impact.
