The InLine Stripping Tool for Networking Patch Cables InLine 74101 is a compact hand tool for removing the outer jacket of patch cords without damaging the shielding or insulation of the inner conductors. It has an adjustable screw to set the cutting depth and an additional blade that can fully cut through a patch cord when needed. The tool's grey finish and ergonomic shape support comfortable handling during repeated use.

Advantages

The ergonomic design improves control and reduces hand fatigue, while the robust construction offers reliable operation for frequent use.

Suitable for

• Stripping outer jackets of Ethernet and other networking patch cables
• Preparing patch cords for connector termination or inspection
• Small installation and repair tasks by network technicians and DIY users

Key specifications

• Brand: InLine
• Model / MPN: 74101
• EAN: 4043718009053
• Colour: Grey
• Type: Stripping tool for networking patch cables

How to use

Set the screw to adjust the blade depth so it just reaches the jacket without cutting into the inner insulation. Insert the patch cable into the tool and rotate or slide as required to remove the jacket. If a full cut is needed, use the second blade to sever the patch cord completely. Check the prepared cable for intact shielding and conductor insulation before terminating connectors.

Recommendations

To avoid cable damage, start with a shallow cutting depth and increase gradually only if the jacket is not being removed cleanly. Keep blades clean and replace them if they become dull to maintain precise cuts.
