Panneau de brassage METZ CONNECT 130862-21-E

The METZ CONNECT 130862-21-E patch panel provides a compact, rack-mountable interface for organizing and terminating Cat6 network cabling. Designed to support 10 Gigabit Ethernet over RJ-45 connectors, this white patch panel combines space-efficient dimensions with a layout that simplifies cable management and port access in server rooms, communication cabinets, and wiring closets.

Advantages

The patch panel offers reliable high-speed data transmission compatible with Cat6 cabling and RJ-45 connectors, ensuring stable 10 Gigabit Ethernet links when used with appropriate infrastructure. Its compact dimensions (121.5 mm width, 37.7 mm height, 118 mm depth) reduce rack space usage and allow installation in confined enclosures. The white finish supports a clean, professional appearance and can ease visual identification of network segments. The unit’s layout facilitates straightforward patching and reconfiguration without disrupting existing runs.

Suitable for

• Small and medium enterprise network racks and cabinets
• Server rooms and data closets requiring 10 Gigabit connectivity
• Structured cabling installations using Cat6 cabling
• Environments where a compact patching solution is needed

Key specifications

• Connector type: RJ-45
• Cable category compatibility: Cat6
• Data rate support: up to 10 Gigabit Ethernet
• Dimensions (W × H × D): 121.5 mm × 37.7 mm × 118 mm
• Color: white

How to use

Mount the patch panel in a suitable rack or cabinet and terminate each incoming Cat6 cable to the corresponding rear connection points according to the chosen wiring standard (T568A or T568B). Connect active devices using short patch cords to the front RJ-45 ports. Verify each link with appropriate testing tools to confirm continuity, wiring correctness and performance up to 10 Gbps. Secure cabling with ties or routing accessories to maintain bend radii and minimize strain on terminations.

Recommendations

For consistent 10 Gigabit performance, use high-quality Cat6 cables and certified patch cords, adhere to recommended termination practices, and test each port after installation. Avoid sharp bends and excessive cable length on patch cords; maintain proper airflow in racks to prevent temperature-related degradation.
