Pince coupe-boulons Knipex 71 72 910

The Knipex 71 72 910 bolt cutter pliers are heavy-duty cutting tools designed for cutting bolts, wire and similar hard materials. With an overall length of 910 mm, a jaw thickness of 42 mm and a cutting length of 46 mm, these pliers deliver high leverage and cutting force while maintaining durability. The blades are forged from chrome vanadium heavy-duty steel and oil-hardened; cutting edges are induction hardened to approximately 62 HRC for extended edge life. The bolted, replaceable cutter head and a forged special-tool-steel joint contribute to long service life under demanding conditions.

Advantages

The tool offers cutting capacity up to 48 HRC and high cutting performance with minimum effort thanks to an optimised cutting-edge angle and transmission ratio. Ergonomically angled, powder-coated steel-tube handles with non-slip two-colour dual-component sleeves reduce operator effort. Additional features include a forged-in stopper with shock absorber for controlled closing, very flat head and joint construction for improved access, and precise 12-position adjustment via an eccentric bolt.

Suitable for

• Cutting bolts and threaded rods
• Cutting steel wire and medium-hard cables
• Heavy-duty workshop and construction use

How to use

Place the material to be cut between the cutting edges and apply firm, steady pressure on the handles until the cut is complete. Use the 12-position eccentric adjustment to set the blade gap for precise cutting performance and replace the bolted cutter head when blades show significant wear. The forged-in stopper with shock absorber limits the closing travel and helps protect the handles and blades during operation.

Recommendations

Use this bolt cutter for appropriate materials up to the stated hardness (up to 48 HRC). Do not attempt to cut hardened high-alloy steels beyond the specified capacity. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (gloves, eye protection) and ensure secure positioning of the workpiece before cutting. Regularly check and maintain the bolted cutter head, joint and handle sleeves to ensure safe, reliable operation.
