Pince universelle Knipex 02 05 200

The Knipex 02 05 200 Lineman's pliers are forged from high-grade special tool steel and oil-hardened for durability. At 200 mm overall length and a cutting length of approximately 2.5 cm, these pliers combine cutting, gripping and bending functions in a single hand tool designed for professional use. The tool weighs 342 g and is built for heavy-duty tasks with long cutting edges suitable for thicker cables.

Advantages

These lineman's pliers require up to 35% less effort than conventional combination pliers thanks to optimized leverage. Hardened cutting edges (approx. 63 HRC) provide heavy-duty cutting performance, while long cutting edges and multiple gripping zones allow powerful cutting, bending, pulling and secure handling of both flat and round materials.

Suitable for

• Cutting medium to thick electrical cables
• Gripping and bending wires and metal components
• Pulling nails or fasteners in maintenance and installation work
• General electrical and mechanical workshop tasks

How to use

Position the jaws around the object to be cut or gripped, applying firm hand pressure while using the optimized leverage point to reduce effort. Use the long cutting edges for thicker cables and the gripping zones for flat or round materials. For cutting, place the cable as deep as possible into the cutting edge and close the handles in a controlled motion. For bending or pulling, engage the appropriate gripping zone and apply steady force.

Recommendations

Inspect the pliers before each use for wear or damage, especially the cutting edges. Use appropriate personal protective equipment when cutting live or potentially live conductors and follow local safety regulations. Do not use the pliers as a hammer or for prying beyond their intended capacity.
