Rallonge d'alimentation Rittal 7240.220

The Rittal 7240.220 Power Extension is a 482.6 mm wide aluminium-duct socket strip with a 2 m infeed cable and seven Type D AC outlets. Designed for a maximum current of 16 A and an AC input voltage of 250 V, the unit combines compact dimensions (482.6 × 44 × 44 mm) and a grey finish for use in equipment racks, enclosures and wall-mounted distributors. The socket strip supports versatile mounting and cable routing options to simplify installation and storage logistics.

Advantages

The aluminium duct houses country-specific variants with different functional elements while maintaining a universal, practical fastening system. An angled bracket can be inserted in four positions so the 482 mm socket strip can be mounted on 482.6 mm (19") mounting angles, a 482.6 mm (19") mounting frame, on the enclosure frame or in the rear section of a wall-mounted distributor. It also fits into sections with a 25 mm hole pattern without extra accessories. Cable routing for the infeed is provided, and when mounted in a 482.6 mm (19") section there is space to route the infeed between the socket strip and the profile rail without kinks. IEC 320 sockets are arranged at a 45° angle to allow use of angled connectors without restriction.

Suitable for

• Power distribution in 19" racks and equipment enclosures
• Cabling in wall-mounted distributors and rear-mounted installations
• Applications requiring compact, multi-outlet strips with Type D sockets

How to use

Select the appropriate mounting position and insert the angled bracket in one of the four available positions to match 482.6 mm (19") mounting angles, a 19" mounting frame, the enclosure frame or the rear section of a wall-mounted distributor. If installing in a section with a 25 mm hole pattern, the socket strip can be inserted without additional mounting accessories. Route the 2 m infeed cable through the provided cable routing path; when mounted in a 482.6 mm (19") section, guide the infeed between the socket strip and the profile rail to avoid kinks. Connect equipment using the seven Type D outlets; angled IEC 320 connectors can be used thanks to the 45° socket orientation.

Recommendations

Use the Rittal 7240.220 within its rated limits: 16 A maximum and 250 V AC. Verify compatibility of Type D sockets with connected equipment plugs and ensure secure mounting to prevent strain on the infeed cable. For safe and compliant installation in racks or enclosures, follow local electrical codes and, where applicable, consult a qualified electrician.
