Supermicro CBL-SAST-1301-100 - Câble

Connecting multiple SATA drives to a modern SAS controller often requires multiple cables and creates unnecessary clutter. The Supermicro CBL-SAST-1301-100 solves this by combining four SATA connections into a single Mini-SAS HD port, reducing cable bulk and simplifying storage builds. This 1-meter breakout cable features a Mini-SAS HD (SFF-8643) host connector on one end and four individual SATA 7-pin device connectors on the other, enabling you to connect up to four SATA III drives to one SAS 3.0 controller port. With support for 12 Gbps per lane, it delivers ample bandwidth for high-performance storage arrays, making it an essential component for servers, workstations, and storage enclosures.

Who is it for

This cable is ideal for system integrators, IT administrators, and PC enthusiasts building or upgrading servers and storage systems. Whether you are configuring a RAID array, adding drives to a NAS, or expanding a workstation, this cable provides a reliable and tidy solution. It is particularly useful in compact cases where space is limited and cable management is critical.

Tips

When connecting drives, ensure the SATA connectors are fully seated to avoid intermittent errors. For optimal airflow, route the cable along the chassis edges and use cable ties to secure it. This cable is designed for internal use only; avoid bending it sharply near the connectors to prevent damage.
