Vis Fischer 546378 40 mm

Fischer 546378 40 mm screw is a metal concrete screw designed for secure anchoring in solid masonry and concrete. With a 40 mm length and robust thread profile, this screw provides reliable mechanical fastening for fixtures, brackets and light structural elements. The pack contains 100 screws, intended for professional and DIY use where consistent performance and ease of installation are required.

Advantages

These screws feature a hardened steel construction and a precise thread form that ensures strong pull-out resistance in concrete. The consistent dimensions across the pack facilitate repeatable results and faster installation. Their surface treatment improves corrosion resistance for indoor and sheltered outdoor applications. The 40 mm length offers a balance between embedment depth and minimal substrate intrusion, making them suitable for a wide range of fastening tasks.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Fixing small brackets and supports to concrete walls
• Mounting electrical boxes and conduit clips in solid masonry
• Installing light shelving and fixtures on concrete or stone
• General repair and renovation fastening in residential and commercial buildings

Key specifications

• Length: 40 mm
• Material: hardened steel
• Thread type: coarse thread for masonry/concrete
• Pack quantity: 100 pieces
• Surface: corrosion-resistant finish suitable for indoor and sheltered outdoor use

How to use

Select a drill bit size and drill a hole into solid concrete or masonry to the required depth and diameter recommended for a 40 mm masonry screw. Clean the hole of dust and debris, then insert the screw and tighten using an appropriate screwdriver or power driver until the head is flush with the fixture. Avoid over-tightening to prevent damage to the substrate or screw thread. For best results, follow standard installation practices for concrete screws and observe local load and spacing guidelines.

Recommendations

Use in solid concrete or masonry only; avoid hollow or highly cracked substrates. For exterior exposed applications consider additional corrosion protection. When fastening critical loads or heavy fixtures, consult relevant load tables and use appropriate anchors designed for the specific structural requirements.
