Câble SATA DeLOCK 83980 0,7 m noir rouge

The DeLOCK 83980 SATA cable is a 0.7 m internal data cable with two SATA 7‑pin connectors, designed to connect HDDs, SSDs, controller cards and other SATA devices inside a PC. It supports the current SATA standard with data transfer rates up to 6 Gb/s and is backward compatible with earlier SATA versions. The cable is finished in black and red and includes metal locking clips for a secure connection; when connected to a hard drive the cable will be routed downwards.

Advantages

The cable supports up to 6 Gb/s transfer speed and remains compatible with previous SATA generations. Metal clips on the connectors ensure a reliable, audible click when plugged in. At 0.7 m length it provides a balance between reach and tidy cable routing inside a PC chassis. The two SATA 7‑pin connectors are standard for internal SATA connections.

Suitable for

• Connecting 2.5" or 3.5" hard drives (HDD)
• Connecting SATA SSDs
• Linking SATA controller cards or add‑in cards
• Internal connections to flash memory adapters and SATA peripherals

Key specifications

• Cable length: 0.7 m
• Connectors: SATA 7‑pin to SATA 7‑pin
• Data transfer rate: up to 6 Gb/s (SATA III), backward compatible with earlier SATA versions
• Colour: Black, Red
• Brand / MPN: DELOCK / 83980

How to use

Power off the computer and disconnect it from mains before connecting internal devices. Insert one SATA 7‑pin connector into the motherboard or controller card SATA port and the other connector into the SATA port of the HDD, SSD or device, ensuring the metal clip clicks into place. Route the cable downwards when connecting to a hard drive as intended, and secure excess length to avoid obstruction of fans or components. Reconnect power and boot the system to verify device detection.

Recommendations

Use this cable for internal SATA connections inside desktop PCs and servers. For optimal performance ensure both devices and the host controller support SATA III to achieve the full 6 Gb/s rate; otherwise the connection will operate at the highest mutually supported SATA version.
