Foret Bosch Expert HEX-9 Multi Construction 12 mm

The Bosch Expert HEX-9 Multi Construction 12 mm drill bit is designed for professional drilling in mixed construction materials. Its 12 mm diameter and HEX-9 shank provide a secure connection with compatible chucks and impact drivers, enabling controlled drilling into masonry, concrete and other construction substrates. The bit is intended for renovation and installation tasks where reliable hole quality and quick bit changes are required.

Advantages

This drill bit combines a robust tip geometry with a HEX-9 shank to reduce slipping and improve torque transfer when used with impact drivers and SDS-plus-style adaptors. The 12 mm diameter offers a standard hole size for anchors and fixings common in construction and renovation. Its design supports efficient material removal and stable drilling, helping to maintain consistent hole dimensions and reduce the need for rework.

Suitable for

• Drilling holes for wall plugs and anchors in masonry and concrete
• Creating 12 mm openings for installations and fittings
• Renovation work involving mixed substrates such as brick, block and rendered walls
• Use with impact drivers and compatible chucks for fast bit changes

Key specifications

• Diameter: 12 mm
• Shank type: HEX-9 for secure fit and improved torque transfer
• Intended materials: masonry, concrete and mixed construction substrates
• Application: drilling for anchors, fixings and installation tasks

How to use

Select an appropriate drilling speed and use steady pressure while keeping the drill perpendicular to the work surface. Fit the HEX-9 shank into a compatible chuck or impact driver adaptor and ensure it is securely seated before starting. For hard or reinforced concrete, start at a lower speed to position the tip, then increase speed as required. Withdraw the bit periodically to remove debris and reduce overheating. After drilling, clear the hole of dust before inserting anchors or fixings.

Recommendations

Use personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and dust mask when drilling. For extended drilling sessions in hard materials, allow the bit to cool and check for wear; replace the bit when performance declines to maintain hole quality and safety. Match the 12 mm bit to corresponding anchors and fixings for secure installations.
