Foret Bosch Expert HEX-9 Multi Construction 8 mm

The Bosch Expert HEX-9 Multi Construction 8 mm is a drill bit engineered for versatile construction tasks. With an 8 mm diameter and a HEX-9 shank, it is designed to fit hex-compatible chucks and impact drivers for quick, secure bit changes. The geometry and material of the bit are intended to provide reliable drilling performance in wood, various plastics and light construction materials, making it suitable for both professional tradespeople and DIY users.

Advantages

The HEX-9 shank provides a positive engagement with hex chucks and impact drivers, reducing slippage and enabling fast swapping of bits. The 8 mm cutting diameter balances drilling speed and control for typical construction tasks. The bit’s multi-construction design aims to offer stable performance across several materials without requiring multiple specialist bits. The compact form supports use in confined spaces and common handheld tools.

Suitable for

• Drilling holes in soft and hard woods
• Drilling through plastics and composite panels
• Light construction and installation work (screws, anchors, pilot holes)
• Use with hex chucks and impact drivers for quick bit changes

Key specifications

• Drill diameter: 8 mm
• Shank type: HEX-9 hexagonal shank for hex-compatible chucks
• Intended materials: wood, various plastics, light construction materials
• Use type: multi-construction drill bit for handheld drills and impact drivers
• Designed for: professional and DIY use

How to use

Install the drill bit into a compatible hex chuck or impact driver, ensuring the shank seats fully and locks securely. Select an appropriate drill speed and apply steady, even pressure while drilling; reduce speed when entering delicate materials to avoid splintering. Withdraw the bit occasionally to clear chips when drilling deeper holes. For repeated use, inspect the cutting edges and shank for wear and replace the bit when performance degrades.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and gloves. Match drill speed to material hardness and avoid excessive side load to prolong bit life. For denser materials or masonry, use a purpose-made masonry or metal bit rather than this multi-construction bit.
