Passe-câble EFB Elektronik 52537.1

The EFB Elektronik 52537.1 cable boot is a protective cover designed for BNC connectors, offering a compact solution to guard connections against dust and moisture while improving strain relief. Manufactured in black, the boot measures 45 mm in width and 11.5 mm in height, providing a low-profile fit that maintains the connector's accessibility and mechanical stability in installations where space is limited.

Advantages

This cable boot delivers consistent protection for BNC terminations through a durable material that resists wear from handling and environmental exposure. Its slim dimensions make it suitable for dense connector arrangements and confined spaces, while the tailored shape enhances strain relief to reduce stress on the cable-to-connector junction. The black finish conceals marks and blends with most cabling systems.

Suitable for

• Protecting BNC connectors in CCTV and video distribution systems
• Shielding RF and test equipment connections from dust and light moisture
• Improving strain relief on coaxial cable assemblies in cramped racks or panels
• Use in field installations and maintenance where quick connector protection is required

Key specifications

• Compatible connector type: BNC
• Width: 45 mm
• Height: 11.5 mm
• Color: Black
• Function: Protective boot and strain relief for cable-connector junction

How to use

Slide the cable boot over the coaxial cable before attaching the BNC connector, or fit it onto the connector after termination if design allows. Position the boot so it fully covers the connector body and interfaces with the cable jacket to provide strain relief. Ensure the boot is seated evenly around the connector for optimal protection against dust and light moisture. For repeated installations, inspect the boot for signs of wear and replace if deformation or cracking is present.

Recommendations

For best results, use the boot with properly assembled BNC connectors and cables of compatible diameter. Avoid exposure to prolonged submersion or aggressive chemicals; the boot is intended to protect against dust and light moisture rather than serve as a waterproof seal. Replace the boot if it shows signs of mechanical damage or significant aging to maintain connector reliability.
